Ideas that become reality

Project: “Development of a Concept for Early Recovery and Growth of the Byshiv Territorial Community through the Urban Hackathon and the Creation of Community Participation Hubs.”
Implementation period: April 1, 2024 – July 31, 2024.

What is the Urban Hackathon in the Byshiv Community and why is it important

Urban Hackathon is more than just an open competition of project ideas for community development. It is a development marathon where civic activists, local authorities, and experts come together to create a shared vision for the future of their towns and villages.

The event became part of URenew’s initiative aimed at restoring small territorial communities across Ukraine and was held in the Byshiv community — the heart of the Kyiv region, which also experienced occupation in 2022 but never lost its initiative, resilience, or drive for development.
