Urban Hackathon

Byshiv Community, Kyiv Region

Urban Hackathon – is an open competition for community development project ideas.

Goal – to discover impactful project ideas that can become the foundation for rebuilding and enhancing the community — improving infrastructure, social and municipal services, energy efficiency, ecology, healthcare, job creation, and more.

About Byshiv Community

  • Byshiv Territorial Community is located in Kyiv region, 50 km west of Kyiv, covering an area of 280 km².
  • It includes 15 villages and is home to over 10,000 residents.
  • In 2022, the community suffered significant destruction during the war and was under occupation. A total of 235 residential buildings and 22 social and commercial facilities were damaged or destroyed.
  • The community holds several geographic and socio-economic advantages: proximity to Kyiv, strong logistics, and available land resources.

Community Residents

Active members of the community who have ideas and proposals for improving local infrastructure.

Experts

Professionals in urban infrastructure development working in areas such as energy, education, healthcare, tourism, transportation, housing, safety, and utility services.

Architects and Urban Planners

Specialists who design spatial concepts, master plans, and detailed urban development projects.

Economists

Professionals involved in planning and evaluating the economic aspects of community development projects.

Developers

Entrepreneurs and real estate developers who create new buildings and infrastructure projects.
